This is the second year for my American Beautyberry scrubs. I have watered, fertilized and tried to give proper care. Now they are pale and the few berries I have are also very pale. What am I doing wrong? Sun exposure is not quite full sun but more than part shade. Any suggestions are welcome.
I suspect you have one of the Asian beautyberries and not Callicarpa americana. Unlike your plant the fruit of C. americana is borne in clusters next to the branches. Compare your plant to Callicarpa dichotoma 'Early Amethyst' for example.
