Can somebody explain to me what is this evolutionary mistake and how it eats?
Weird Beetle Spotted In Greece
This is a straight-snouted weevil in the family Brentidae. They have small but strong jaws at the end of their snout. Many species appear associated with wood in one respect or another, with the adults often living under bark and their larvae boring into wood (usually dead trees) where they feed either on the wood or on fungi in the wood. Also, one species is a pest on sweet potatoes.
