I am afraid my confederate jasmine is dying. It is August in south Alabama and I wouldn't think it should be losing its leaves. Our other plant on our mailbox is fine. Is there anyway to save this one?
Confederate Jasmine
As I recall from when I lived in Florida, confederate jasmine practically grows like a weed and doesn't have many pests. Has it been getting excessive water or fertilizer or maybe herbicide was applied nearby? If none of those are the case, with that type of extreme leaf loss I'd suspect root rot.
We have had non-stop rain for months and I'm afraid it's affected it. We had a super dry summer last year and it flourished. Sadly, tearing it out might be project for this winter.
