I think this one is just a juvenile. There was an adult, but it ran off.
I am in Utah, and found it in my basement, next to the door.

This is Steatoda triangulosa. It belongs to the same family (Theridiidae) as black widow spiders, but it is harmless to humans (and also eats other spiders)...
