Please identify this insect

I'm guessing it's a dragon fly but wonder if it has a specific name, this is in SW Florida. I took it with my cell phone as close as I could get and enlarged the image on the computer.

It is indeed a dragonfly, but the image is not clear enough for me to be confident of a positive i.d.
