I saw this tiny fellow this morning. Very busy chap... did not sit still for a good sharp shot. It jumped on the camera lens often if I went too close for a macro shot. First time I saw this in my yard.. very colourful jumping spider.
Is this the Golden Jumping Spider?
Is this really the golden jumping spider?
This jumping spider is in the genus Chrysilla; likely Chrysilla volupe - see http://www.jumping-spiders.com/php/tax_drawings.php?id=3666
I am not familiar with the golden jumping spider...
Thanks Flap..
This is very very close to C. volupe. The ID there also is from south India. So going by that this must be it.
