Hi, i found him after moving a desk away from a wall and the spider just came out from inbetween the wall and carpet. He ran away from me twice before successfully catching him. Spent an hour trying to id this guy. Any ideas? Thanks

I cannot be absolutely certain from these images, but it resembles a ground spider in the family Gnaphosidae - harmless to humans; some species in the family Corinnidae (also harmless) can have a similar appearance....
