Someone please help me ID this larvae. (I know there's black aphids). They are on my cherry leaves and I have never seen them before. Good bug or bad bug?
Help!!
These are 'good guys'; they are the larvae of hover/flower flies (family Syrphidae) that are voracious predators on aphids and other soft-bodied plant pests.
