I have not been able to know definitively whether Elephant Ears have corms, bulbs, tubers, etc. The sources I found are not in agreement. At any rate, when I dig them in the fall here in zone 6 in Cent SW Mo, often there are no "bulbs" or whatever you call them to be found, at least nothing resembles those I order. There is the large ball-shaped mass that the leaves directly emerge from that does look similar to ones I order. Is this what I should wash off, dry for a day or two, and then store in a cool, dark, dry place until the spring? My question may seem non-sensical to most but I fear I may have unwittingly discarded what I should have been keeping! Thank you!!
