Found in house. What type is it?

It's a ground beetle (family Carabidae) in the genus Scarites; likely Scarites subterraneus, known as the big-headed ground beetle - http://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/82724-Scarites-subterraneus
These are general predators on other small arthropods.
