Please! Help me ID these two plants!

I have one very large plant growing and I don't know what it is. There is a smaller plant that grows all over and I have no idea if I should continue pulling it out?

Are these weeds? Any assistance is much appreciated!

The 1st plant looks like an some type of aster... it's grown large enough that you may as well let it bloom to see if it's something you like.

The 2nd plant looks like a black-eyed Susan e.g. Rudbeckia 'Goldstrum'. Quit pulling it out and maybe it will be able to bloom this year.

For future reference, the Plant ID forum http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/plantid/all/ is better for requests like this.
