Help!!

I recently moved to a home where I actually have a backyard! This is wonderful, but I know NOTHING about plants! I have a Clematis that is taking over what I think is a Mutabulis Rose bush (not sure really) and a knock out rose bush that I think is dying. I want pretty plants, but I need help! I'm not sure what to do with any of it!

It may help you to know I'm in Claremore, Oklahoma!

The rose with the clematis looks dead or so close to dead it's not possible to save it. Just let it go and enjoy the clematis.

Your Knockout rose shows symptoms of advanced rose rosette disease. This is a viral infection spread by mites that causes distorted growth and eventual death of the plant. There is no cure so your only option is to remove the plant entirely. If you have other roses be sure to thoroughly sterilize any tools used on the affected bush to avoid spreading the infection.

Tomh seems to know a lot more than I do. I would cut back both the roses use a systemic/fertilizer & see if u get new growth. If not get rid of them. I would untangle the clematis & put it back on the trellis. If u r not able to do that, next spring make sure that’s where it starts climbing not on the rose bush. As Tom said always clean ur tools between plants so not spread any diseases or pests around.
