Tough to see this little one even in a picture. This was on a dogwood tree here in MA where I teach. My kids would love to know what they found.
CLOSED: Camouflaged Bee
This is not a bee, but a fly. I suspect that it is one of the bee-mimicking robber flies in the subfamily Laphriinae...
