I have a huge scary thorn tree on some property I bought..it's about three feet around on the trunk.its about thirty five feet tall..and has thorns that range from one inch to almost five inches long..the thorns grow on the trunk and on the stems..it also has huge seed pods..I don't know if it's a Texas thorn tree..it has similar leaves..but the thorns are different from what I've seen..please help..
Mutant thorn tree i.d. please!?!
I'm taking a guess here but it looks like a Honey Locust Thorn tree.
That would appear likely - https://www.extension.iastate.edu/forestry/iowa_trees/tree_id_photos/LOCUST_HONEY2_bark.jpg
