CLOSED: What are these tiny things?

I've found a handful of these in an apartment in the last couple days. The closest I've gotten searching online is a fowl or rat mite in the genus Ornithonyssus. They are very, very small and these are the best pictures I could take.

Oh and by handful, I do not mean thousands (enough to fill up my hand), I mean 4 or 5.

Although this does resemble a mite in the genus Ornithonyssus (see http://medent.usyd.edu.au/fact/birdmite.jpg for an example), a positive i.d. simply is not possible from these images. Just in case they are, see https://www.extension.umn.edu/garden/insects/find/bird-and-rodent-mites-in-homes/ for some control information.
