What is this plant?

I just moved after 15 years in the same location. At my new house I can't tell if some of the plant's coming up are weeds or garden plants or what. I live in southeastern WI. This is 2 of the main puzzling ones for me.

Must add, I am a beginner, so don't laugh if it's super common, lol!!
