Hello everyone! I am new here. About 3 weeks ago I planted some astilbe bulbs and toad lily bulbs in my perennial bed. I dug a very large and deep hole, removed all the clay soil, and replaced it with a mixture of top soil and soil conditioner/compost. I carefully followed the instructions when I planted them in the bed. I have kept them consistently moist. But nothing has come up yet. I've tried googling to find out how long it takes for them to emerge, but no luck. When should I assume something is wrong with them? Should I pull them out and reposition them, in case the watering made them sink down too deep?
Thanks!
Amy
How long before astilbe & toad lily bulbs come up?
It's a bit late for planting them but atleast a month before signs of life should show. Both of the plants you mention have roots but no bulbs so i just want to make sure you planted a root and not a bulb.
