Year #3. 1st year, 1 fruit that dropped off when about 1.5"long. Wintered in basement after cutting back. 2nd year, much growth, no flowers. Wintered in basement without cutting back. This year, MANY flowers (10-12), but only 2 made it to fruit. Flowers fell off and nothing. 1 fruit dropped off at 3/4" & one is still there about 3/4" long. I'm holding my breath daily that it doesn't drop off. It is in a large pot on my front porch getting sun until about 11 a.m. More flowers about to bloom. Why can't I get the fruit to grow & not drop off? It's about 5' tall.
Buddha\'s hand dropping fruit
I'm wondering if temp/light change puts it in some sort of shock. I found a little write-up about fruit drop: https://www.fourwindsgrowers.com/solving-common-problems/bloom-drop-fruit-drop-leaf-drop-and-twig-dieback.html
