I need some ideas, I rototilled my garden which is 12'x50', went away for a couple weeks, came back and horrors! the entire garden is now covered in thistles and dandelions. What is the fastest way to get rid of this mess? I'm one armed now due to surgery, pulling everything by hand is far too much work.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Surgery is really getting in the way of my planting!

If you can be patient, you can just cover the entire space in black plastic and in a few weeks all the weeds will be gone.
