Hi, our palm tree is infested with what seems to be termite damage.
I hope it's not beyond repair...
I haven't checked the whole height of the tree, but am afraid it might be the case.
Any suggestions for treatment would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jae
Palm tree damage
The question I have is if the pest/termites are still in the palm trunk. If so, an exterminator would be best. I've been surprised how often I've seen a palm recover from something like this so don't give up hope quite yet. It wouldn't hurt to have an Arborist or palm specialist come in to check it over in-person. This is also the time of year to apply fertilizer to give the palm a bit more gusto to recover.
Thanks!
