Will I be able to root honeysuckle in just water? And if so, how long does it take? I am trying to start my own honeysuckle to add to my hummingbird garden.
Any advice?
Thanks, Dawn
Rooting honeysuckle
You can use water to propagate honeysuckle cuttings. It roots in water fairly easily. You need to change the water weekly. Stagnant water inhibits rooting because it becomes deficient in oxygen. Cuttings rooted in plain water instead of a potting mix have a greater risk of transplant shock and an increased risk of dying.
I wasn't aware you could use potting mix. I have never rooted anything before. What is the best way?
