I've never seen one like this before. Any help with ID greatly appreciated. It was photographed last week on a limb of my wild plum (Mexican Plum) tree. I am in Willis, Texas, about 75 miles north of Houston.
CLOSED: Unknown Caterpillar
This appears to be a forest tent caterpillar, Malacosoma disstria - see http://extentopubs.tamu.edu/e-218.html
That sure does look like the culprit. I will go out and see if I can find more. Thanks much for the ID and the link!
