I have pictures of 2 different kinds of spiders, I reside in southern california. Both look different and all I can say is they look like jumping spiders. They're very responsive when I get close, cute little buggers.
Awesome visitors today! What are they?
These are two different species of jumping spiders (family Salticidae). The first one looks like Sassacus vitis (see http://mamba.bio.uci.edu/~pjbryant/biodiv/spiders/Salticidae/Jump%20trtrf%20028.JPG); the second one looks somewhat like Pelegrina aeneola (see http://staffwww.fullcoll.edu/lvincent/spiderguide/D428.html), but there also are species in the genus Phidippus that can have a similar appearance.
