This plant has been living indoors for the past year and continues to bloom and look healthy, although leggy a bit now.
I would like to know what the little white egglike attachments to the hairs of the leaves are. I can find nothing online to match.
New Guinea Impatiens
It looks like a mealybug infestation.
The white crystals are from sap from the Impatiens. Check your plant for aphids but I have also seen this on Impatiens without pests. Your plant may be just fine but have excess sap. It should rinse off as it's just like sugar.
Thank you both, I will try rinsing. I have not seen any signs of mealy bugs. They are multiplying and have been there for months with no change to the leaves or vigor.
There are 2 other impatiens very close and they do not have these...weird.
So, what was it?
