My daughter came home with a plant with purple trumpet flowers, I have been searching for some info, but I am unable to find its name. Daughter was told to give it medium sunlight.
Anyone know what it is? Indoor or outdoor plant?

It looks like a datura with double flowers, otherwise known as angel's trumpet. They generally are outdoor plants, since they require lots of sunlight. Keep in mind that they also are poisonous.
