Hello Everyone,
I just moved into a new apartment in Chicago. I found two of the bugs in the photo in the place. Any idea what they are? Both were found in one of the closets, but several hours apart. It's really small, maybe 1-2 mm. I was worried it might be a bed bug, but after looking at google images of those, I do not believe it is.
Anyway, any help identifying the bug would be appreciated! Thanks!

Spider beetle. These are peridomestic nuisance pests, but as some may infest dry stored food products, check your food storage areas (including pet food/bird seed) for signs of infestation - http://ento.psu.edu/extension/factsheets/spider-beetles
