Hi Friends, I must confess that I have no knowledge about spiders. Hence when I saw one of these in my bathroom we freaked out. Whilst we successfully got it out of the house through some guerilla tactics, we are now wondering if we need to spray something in the house. We have 2 little kids. Can you please help ID this spider? Is it dangerous? We are in the Bay Area (Palo Alto to be specific).

Might be Zoropsis spinimana, an introduced species - see http://spiderhugger.com/meet-the-spider-zoropsis-spinimana/
Like nearly all other spiders, it has venom glands and therefore technically is venomous, but it is not at all dangerous to humans. See the 'sticky' on spider bites at the top of this forum...
