1. Where was this image taken?
2. Approximate size of spider (body length/leg span)?
3. Was the spider in a web or free-ranging?

Picture was taken in Minnesota, but the spider is potentially a hitchhiker from Montana. Legspan was maybe 2-2.5 cm? Not in a web, it was found in a cooler.

The image is not clear enough for me to be confident of an identification, but its size and overall appearance is consistent with it being a running crab spider in the family Philodromidae; harmless....
