The1st one do very well in the cold. No leaf damage whatsoever. Some kind of laurel, Portugal?
The second one has very tropical looking leaf. Viburnum of some sort?
Please help identify these zone 7 trees
Don't know that first one, but the buds look like they belong to Prunus sp.
Your second shrub looks like a Viburnum x rhytidophylloides selection, and it is probably the very common selection 'Alleghany'.
I would offer Photinia sp for the first so Prunus cousin
and concur with Viburnum
