I saw quite a few of these insects in a small lake on the west coast of British Columbia (just a bit north of Vancouver). Any help in narrowing down an identification would be greatly appreciated!

Aquatic Insect British Columbia
These are larvae of caddisflies (order Trichoptera). Considered a sister group to Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths), their larvae all are aquatic and those of most species build protective cases of pebbles, twigs. etc. held together by silk and some construct filter/capture webs.
