I'm constantly seeing these spiders in my backyard. Any idea what kind?
There must be some source nearby that is attracting the spider, can't quite narrow it down. I do have a tall semi rotted/dying palm tree, but I haven't seen them around it. They're always pretty small and running around like crazy. At least 1-2 per day are falling into our pool.

Could be small wolf spiders, but really need to see the eye pattern clearly...
Thanks for the quick reply. I'll try to capture a better photo of the eye pattern if I can grab one tonight.
Although I still cannot see its eyes clearly, I think that this looks more like a wolf spider in the genus Allocosa than anything else that comes to mind. See http://www.pbase.com/tmurray74/image/122140924 for an example.
Unfortunately that's the best image I can get with my camera phone / magnifying app.
I think you're spot on though, when I look at the spider and compare it to that image you linked to, it looks extremely close. These little guys are just too small to get a better picture on my side.
Thanks so much for the help, marking this one as solved!
