Hi,
We have a lot of webs outside our bathroom window. Initially I thought the spider had gone as they were damaged but they've been rebuilt. This morning I managed to get a glimpse of him. Small, brownish/black in colour. I think there are some markings on the back but I wasn't close enough to make them out. Anyway, I was hoping someone might be able to help from the web itself given, at least in my experience, the triangle likes shapes is a bit more unusual? It's a Sydney city location. Inner West. Thanks!

Somewhat messy webs like this are characteristic of some spiders in the family Theridiidae - see http://australianmuseum.net.au/spider-webs for an example (not quite the same as yours)...
