Caught in Beafort county south carolina. never seen one in my life. weird long feeler type appendages coming from rear end. what is it?

This is a giant ichneumon wasp in the genus Megarhyssa - their long appendage is an ovipositor that the female uses to bore into wood and then lay her eggs in the tunnels made by wood wasp larvae.
