Was closing the gate, almost SH*T myself as he was running a few inches from my hands...any help identifying this little bugger :)

P.S. No I didn't kill it, I caught it, and let it free in a garden FAAAR from my home...

This is a huntsman spider (family Sparassidae) - excellent pest controllers and not dangerous to humans. Some species are referred to as 'rain spiders' - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palystes
