Been seeing these pretty little ones in our corn patch. Wondering if its some kind of sawfly larva. Seem to have what look like prolegs pretty much all along underside, and body is mostly translucent, with a delicate scalloped white pattern on the skin, which may be hard to see in the photo. Not much of a head. Anyone recognize this one?

These are 'good guys'; they are larvae of flies in the family syrphidae that are predators on aphids and other soft-bodied arthropods.
Thanks, Flap, that's great to know! There were plenty of aphids on our corn for them to feast on this year, so that makes sense with where I found them.
