Questions on Peruvian Daffodils

Hi.

I am new to Peruvian Daffodils and have a few questions.

I pulled my few bulbs to over-winter and was wondering...

1. Do I cut the roots off? They have grown quite thick and long...

2. Do I separate the smaller bulbs from the main bulb, or just replant them together in the spring?

I leave the roots on my bulbs. I do usually pull the smaller bulbs off, but often wait until spring to do that.
