Oaks are evil by nature. Always cross-pollinating and with features so similar to one another. I usually don't even bother asking what they are anymore. yet, this one I'm hoping is a sure thing. It was planted at a McDonald's. Any Guesses? I added more pics below...
The acorns were all in pieces but I think they might be diagnostic anyway.
There is a nice green acorn in your second image in the first post. A closeup with some scale will answer the question definitively...
"planted at a McDonald's" = cheap = almost certainly Pin Oak Quercus palustris. The leaves and acorns don't suggest anything else, either.

I almost didn't write the McDonald's line Resin. lol. That was my first guess as well.
Now if it had been "growing in a primaeval natural forest untouched by man for over 10,000 years", then the task would've been much trickier, but also much more interesting . . . 😂
