Can I winter sow now for springs plants? post now

I would wait until after Thanksgiving. Folks from up north usually seem to sow in January, but I have found that is too late here in Zone 8, often Spring starts in January, and our coldest weather has already occurred in December. What you are trying to do is expose the seeds to the cold weather. If you start them now, some (ones that do not absolutely require a cold moist spell) may sprout, then be damaged by the cold weather.
