Please ID this Spider!

We found this Spider in our backyard in middle-Southern Indiana, we have a friend that says it's a brown recluse! I don't believe it is but though we should check anyway. Please ID this Spider! :)

It's a harmless orb weaver in the genus Neoscona; likely N. crucifer - http://www.spiders.us/species/neoscona-crucifera/
Recluse spiders, other than the violin-like marking on their cephalothorax, have no discernible patterns on their body or legs. And they almost never are found 'out and about'...
