Hi

We live in Abbotsford, BC Canada and we were cleaning the garage and came across this spider. Can someone please identify it for me?

This is a cobweb/comb-footed spider (family Theridiidae) in the genus Steatoda; likely S. bipunctata - http://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/146631-Steatoda-borealis
Sometimes called 'false widow spiders' because of their resemblance to black widows, some species can deliver a very painful (personal experience), but not dangerous bite.
