Found this in northwest NJ. I can't find any reference to it online, hoping to find an ID here. Thanks.

It's a bee in the family Megachilidae; looks like a European wool-carder bee (Anthidium manicatum) - http://www.cirrusimage.com/bees_Megachilidae_Anthidium.htm
Note that the yellow markings on the abdomen may show considerable individual variation...
