As I was falling asleep I heard some tiny wings flapping near my face - cringe. Can anyone identify this guy?
What is this critter I found flying around my pillow?!
Either a flying ant or a very small wasp; cannot see antennae clearly enough to determine...
That should make it a small wasp then; ants have geniculate ('elbowed') antennae - see http://bugmugs.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/fa_anterodorsal_final1.jpg
But sometimes, this is not obvious - see http://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/Portals/0/Gardening/Gardening%20Help/images/Pests/Ants_Indoors1851.jpg
