PLEASE HELP ME IDENTIFY
Family Agelenidae; looks like a giant house spider - http://jorgenlissner.dk/images/Pictures/Tegenaria_atrica_hun_523.jpg
Thank you! but the pattern is so weird if you look upside down it lookes like an alien and if you turn it looks like a monkey.. can the patterns be diffrent? and does it eat ants?
Like humans, most spider species can exhibit a good deal of individual variation in their color patterns. I doubt that a specimen this large would bother with ants...
This looks much more like a Domestic House Spider (otherwise known as a Barn Funnel Weaver).
I have a fairly large female myself.
If you plan to keep it; refrain from feeding her ants. They may bite back and cause some serious damage. 2cm crickets would be best.
They prefer dark, dry places. To give them water simply damp a small piece of paper towel and place it beside the entrance to the hide.
Hope this helped!
I still believe that this spider more likely is a giant house spider (Eratigena atrica) in that I cannot see any sign of the rings usually seen in Tegenaria domestica...
