Found this guy in the bathroom in my basement crawling up the wall just as I got out of the shower. I live in metro-Detroit Michigan. I had a few ideas of what it might be but was hoping for a confirmation on the ID. Additional info to help ID: Metro-Detroit, Michigan. Sept 15, 2016 basement (only half is finished) bathroom.
Spider ID
This is a grass/funnel weaver spider in the family Agelenidae; likely in the genus Agelenopsis - see http://www.pbase.com/tmurray74/image/147804766 for an example. These are harmless to humans.
I thought that was what it might have been after a reverse image search, but I did not find a web anywhere so I was not sure and was wanting confirmation. Thank you.
Looks like a male grass spider. They tend to wander instead of build webs like the females. Females have bright coloration like the shown male, however they have larger abdomens with an arrangement of spots down the sides.
