I have looked up this plant in Books but cannot find it referred to here.

It states no pests - but I have DEAD DEAD small holes bored in branches - hollow stems dust and a small grey borer that played "opossum" when I shook it out on the path (did not move or scurry about) HELP WHAT IS IT AND HOW DO I SAVE MY TREE

Have picture of bug? Borers arent necessarily picky on what trees they use. If they run out of trees a wooden house will work. Hmmmm, lots of borers- powderpost, deathwatch, gold spotted,

Calliandra,) Fabacaea, mimosidae, or acacia look alike. Catclaw mimosa? Huisache? Not all plants are listed nor pictured, and may be misfiled. DG has been working on that issue...
