I keep finding these tiny spiders in a house I just moved into. I presume they're babies that recently hatched. I live in Henderson, Nevada, and there are brown recluse and black widow spiders out here. I just want to be sure that there's not venomous spiders in my house, we have a newborn on the way! I know it's not a widow, but not sure on the recluse. In the picture, I'm zoomed in quite a bit. The surface it is on its the grout in-between tiles, so probably 3/8" is the width of the grout. Any help is appreciated! Thanks
What kind of spider?
This is a spitting spider, harmless to humans - http://www.spiders.us/species/scytodes-thoracica/
Thank you very much! You're fairly certain from the photos? I clicked on that link you sent and it doesn't list them in Nevada, although the pictures do look very similar to the ones I'm finding.
Thanks
It does indeed occur in Nevada - see image no. 229 on this page: http://www.insectidentification.org/insects-by-state.asp?thisState=Nevada
Thank you for your help!
