I noticed my rug was shedding earlier and looked under it and was horrified with what I saw: cloth moth larvae all over. But something else disturbed me even more - several long, thin, wriggling whiteish worms that looked a lot like something parasitic. I believe they're segmented, and they don't have any legs. I have no idea what they are but there were at least three that I saw under there. Any ideas??

Although this has a superficial resemblance to a flea larva (see https://extension.entm.purdue.edu/4h/images/402Photo/22b_FleaCatLarvaePinPoint.jpg), I believe that it more likely is something else. It more strongly resembles a larva of a fly in the family Therevidae (stiletto flies); see https://bugtracks.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/img_5120.jpg), but finding these indoors would be unusual. At any rate, it certainly does not appear to be anything parasitic.
