Found in a spring-fed river in South Texas on Saggitaria leaves. Can anybody identify it?
Aquatic Insect Identification
I for one cannot see anything identifiable in these images. Is there any way that you can provide a more clearly and closely focused image of the mystery critter?
In the zoomed out photo, you can see two of them. They are transparent with 2 black eyespots. The first photo zooms in on one of them.
OK - Now I can make out the eyes, but I still cannot see any body detail. My best guess at this point is that they might be young damselfly naiads...
