Hello everyone, can someone help ID this. I have tried and all I can come up with is a centipede but I have never seen one like it before. I found it inside a sealed bag of pre packaged mashed potatoes, therefore I cannot say for sure what state it came from.
Difficult to be certain, but I believe that a stone centipede (family Lithobiidae) would be a strong suspect - see http://m6.i.pbase.com/g1/01/12401/2/128005556.F9PLfQaf.jpg for an example.
Thank you Flapdoodle! I have never seen one before. Are they common in the USA?Gosh, I wonder how this little guy found his way into a factory with food.
