I recently bought a mint and basil plant that were both lush and green when I bought them. now, a few weeks later, the entire mint plant has yellowed and the basil is starting to yellow also. Some basil leaves also dry out on the edges and shrivel and die in those spots
I've had success with basil in the past. I know basil likes a lot of light so it is outside on my window sill and gets sunlight most of the day. I water it every few days when the soil is dry.
my mint is on the indoor part of the windowsill and gets light about half the day. I water it almost every day as the soil seems to dry out more quickly. I have cut stems at the appropriate level several times to use for tea and it grows back very well, new leaves are green but yellow as they grow.
Am I doing something wrong? Do they have a disease?
I am not able to re-pot or re-soil them for at least a month, can I do anything in the mean time?
why are my herbs turning yellow?

Its definitely needing new pots, they like watered, but no wet feet. Drainage is a must. Yellow indicates either sunburn, or over watered. Good luck
